The location of Jatiluwih Heritage Site village is in the Penebel sub-district, Tabanan regency, Bali, which is about 48 km from the center of Denpasar. Jatiluwih village is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level.

The origin of the name Jatiluwih comes from the words “jaton” which means talisman and “luwih” which means good. With this origin, it is hoped that the village has a good talisman meaning. The attraction of this Jatiluwih terrace looks very beautiful and neat like depicting a nature painting, making us all amazed.

This is because the Jatiluwih Heritage Site applies the concept of Karana’s “Tri Hita” philosophy to its agricultural system. This philosophy includes human relationships with others, nature, and God. This Jatiluwih terrace is an expanse of rice fields made with terraces aimed at a soil conservation on the slopes of the mountain.
